Paris is always a good idea

Best Breakfast – Holy Belly
Get there for opening and not on a weekend if possible. We tried again Monday morning after leaving the HUGE queue on Saturday. I had delicious pancakes and a mug of coffee, Ben had the egg special. It’s kinda the French version of The Breakfast Club.

Best Shop – Kaolin (Le Marais)
We could easily have bought the whole shop to kit out a house we don’t have yet. I think we’d seriously consider a road trip back at some point. In a great location for a stroll and window shop.

Best French Dinner – Chez Janou
A solid recommendation from our friend Olivier, very French and very nice. Must book.

Best non-French meal – Khao Thai

Last minute decision after failing to get a spot at Chez Janou, not at all French but super good food and excellent service.

Best Pub – Pepper Café

Two wines for 7euros during happy hour, winner. Small unassuming bar that gets busy to standing room only in the evening

Best Bar – Moonshiner

A secret bar through the cold room at the back of a pizza restaurant. Very speakeasy, great cocktails and service. Instagram dream.

Best viewTop of Galleries la Fayette
Surprising find at the top of the shopping centre, a great view of the Tower and Opera House. Galleries la Fayette itself is also worth a trip, the building is beautiful. Stop off for a Lindt Hot Chocolate before going in.
